From caring for others
to coaching the carers.
I’m Dang Tam. I spent close to 15 years in primary health care and aged care before I became a coach. I know what it costs to give your heart to your work every day, and what it takes to get it back.

Đăng is a lamp.
Tâm is the heart.

In Vietnamese, đăng means a lamp or a light. It is the same word inside hải đăng, the lighthouse, which is literally a “sea lamp”. Tâm means the heart. Together they describe the coaching I want to offer: a steady light for people who have spent years lighting the way for everyone else.
A lamp can warm a room, and the same light can glare. Our best strengths are like that. Independence, steadiness and self-reliance protect us, and they can also leave us standing alone. Coaching is not about switching a strength off. It is about letting the helpful part and the tired, lonely part work together, so you can rest in your own light.
For review: Dang to confirm the spelling of Đăng Tâm and that he is happy with this wording.
Different paths.
A shared need to
feel understood.

I grew up in Biên Hòa, studied in Ho Chi Minh City, and built my life and career in Melbourne. Working in healthcare and aged care, I have seen how much people give—and how little they sometimes leave for themselves. Many never tell anyone, especially the men.
I have felt some of that weight too. For me, change began with paying attention to my own needs and making room for what matters beyond work.
I speak English and Vietnamese. A shared language or background can make a first conversation easier, but you do not need to share my culture, profession or stage of life to be welcome here.
We begin with your experience: what matters to you, what is asking too much, and what would help you feel more like yourself.
You deserve space to be understood—and to discover what replenishes you.
For review: Dang to confirm this story is in his own words.
A background in care.
A focus on the person.
I bring close to 15 years’ experience in healthcare and aged care, alongside experience in coaching.
My reported qualifications bring together medicine, coaching and business marketing. In this work, the focus remains on your personal goals, choices and practical next steps.
These details have been supplied by Dang and are provisional. Award titles, providers, dates and experience will be verified before publication. Current medical registration and practising status are unconfirmed. This background does not mean Lotus Life Coaching offers medical consultations.

The Coaching Institute
For review: Dang to confirm (1) his ICG Associate Membership number, (2) his exact level: the name badge in this photo reads “Professional Coach”, but the site lists Practitioner, and (3) that Rashid is happy to appear on the site.
A steady conversation.
A practical way forward.
Coaching is a partnership. You bring your lived experience and knowledge of your life. The conversation offers reflection, thoughtful questions and support as you choose what to do next.
See how coaching can helpWarmth, clarity
and respect.
Room to be honest
You can speak about uncertainty without needing to sound confident, positive or in control.
Your own direction
Your values and choices lead the work. Coaching does not hand you someone else’s definition of a good life.
Practical attention
Ideas need to fit the life you actually have: your shifts, your caring responsibilities and your available energy.
Clear boundaries
We discuss what coaching can offer and recognise when a different kind of support would be more appropriate.
When caring is your work,
your own life can become
the last appointment.
Doctors, nurses, dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, allied health and aged care professionals can carry responsibility long after the working day ends.
This is a place to consider the person carrying that responsibility. You may be navigating competing expectations, changing priorities or a sense that the way you have been coping no longer fits.
Coaching has a clear scope.
Lotus Life Coaching is a personal coaching service. It does not provide healthcare, diagnosis, treatment, psychological therapy or legal advice. Our work centres on your personal goals, choices and actions.
